Human Resources. Human resources are people. Manager’s are responsible for getting the job done through employees. People are the manager most valuable resources. As a manager you should hire the best people available. These employees must then be trained to use the organization other resources to maximize productivity.
Financial Resources. Most manager have a budget stating how much it should cost to operate their department store for a set period of time. In words, a budget defines the financial resource available. The manager is responsible for seeing department does not waste any of the available resources.
Physical Resources. Getting the job done requires effective and efficient of physical. In a retail store, this include the store buildings; merchandise to be sold, the fixtures the display the merchandise, and the computer use the record sales inventory in the back room and supplies such us as price tags, hangers, charge slips, and so on. Manager are responsible for keeping the equipment in working condition and for making sure that necessary materials and supplies are available.
Informational Resources. Manager need informational from a variety of sources. The controller (the computer) is used to store and retrieve information within and among gap store. When manager was checking voice mail, making calls, giving employee direction on setting up display, and attending district meeting with store walk-through, they were using informational resource. Sharing informational with teammates will influence your success as a manager. The level of organization performance is based on how effectively and efficiently managers utilize resource to archives objective. Manager are responsible for and evaluated on how well they meet organizational objective through effective and efficient utilization resource. The current trend is to require manager to archives objective with fewer resources. Today manager to expected to work as a team leaders with a diversity of team members.
