Understanding Political Science

In general, political science is the science which studies the relationships of power, either all citizens, between citizens and the State, as well as relations among States. Field of political science studies include:
• The theory of political science, including political theory and historical development of political ideas.
• Political institutions, including the Constitution, national governments, regional governments, and local, economic and social functions of government and comparative political institutions.
• Political parties, including community organizations, public opinion, citizen participation in government and administration.
• International relations, including international political, international organizations, international administration and international law.
The word 'politics' can refer to:
1. Aspect of human life for power (power-relations) such as:
• Political Freedom
• Political Crimes
• Political Activities
• Political Matters
2. Objectives to be achieved
• affiliated financial
• foreign policy
• Domestic Politics
• Economic, and so on
So, politics is not the same as political science and political scientists may not be a politician or political figure.
Political concept is more comprehensive;
The interaction between the government and the community in order to process creation and implementation of binding decisions for the common good of the people who live within a particular region. The relationship between the government and society will be interaction. In the State interacts with the system of democracy (liberal), the influence of society on the government is greater.
